Jute craft workshop at Priol
PANAJI: A jute craft workshop by the Directorate of Art & Culture was inaugurated by Damodar Naik, Sarpanch of Veling-Priol, Cuncoliem on December 23, at the village panchayat hall in Mardol. Raju Naik, chairman of Marketing Federation, Aditi Gaude, Panch, K Sangeeta, expert, Ashok Parab, deputy director, Art & Culture and Updesh Kossambe, assistant Accounts officer were present.
Ashok Parab welcomed and explained the aim behind the workshop. Sangeeta Kanan spoke about the importance behind the selection of jute material. Raju Naik informed on marketing of the products. Damodar Naik called for more such workshops in more villages to train more woman so that they can then generate income.
Updesh Kossambe proposed the vote of thanks.
50 participants from Priol and surrounding are attending the workshop which will conclude on January 1, 2016 at 4 pm.
