Wonder what’s more incomplete? A world without cinema or cinema without science-related films. Films like Aliens, Star Wars, ET, The Martian, have enthralled viewers across generations and gently drew them into a world beyond our conventional realms, thanks to the technology which made these cinematic experiences possible.

The Vigyan Parishad, which is trying to usher in a science movement across all levels in India, is trying to weave the wonders which science has lent to popular films into popular consciousness and propagation of scientific concepts among the student community. It is now hosting a Science Film Festival of India (SCI-FFI) here in Panaji.
