Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Thursday said he was yet to apply his mind on the constitution of Goa State Pollution Control Board and hinted that there won’t be many changes in the Board when it is reconstituted.
“The file pertaining to the constitution of the new board has not come to me as yet. Once I receive the file from the minister concerned, the board will be reconstituted,” Parsekar said.
He further said whenever it is reconstituted the changes will be minimal.  “Probably, there won’t be many changes in the new board,” he said.
He said the work in the department continues smoothly in spite of the delay in the constitution of the board.
“Since the board is not constituted, it does not mean the department is not functioning. The old board continues to function and things are moving smoothly,” the chief minister said.
It may be recalled that although the term of the present pollution board ended on September 2015, the government was yet to constitute and notify a new board.
