Mumbai-based co launches drug for diabetes control

Bhasker Assoldekar, Managing Director of Mumbai-based Vibha Natural Products recently launched Teroneem tablets, made from neem powder and Pterocarpus Marsupium for safe and effective management of diabetes.

The bark of Beejak trees can control the type 2 diabetes. It contains dark red-coloured liquid known as Epicathecin. It stimulates Beta cells of islets of Langerhans to secrete more insulin enablling the pancreas to function at its normal and optimum capacity. It is safe without without any side effects. the trees are found in abundance in and around Dudhsagar area of Sanguem taluka. Herbal tablets with neem leaf powder and Ptercarpus Marsupium bark powder are being manufactured and exported the world over for treating the disease.

The roots of the cause, according to Dr Assoldekar, include overeating and consequent obesity, excessive worry, tension, anxiety and grief etc. Diabetes does comprise of hereditary factors to an extent, Assodelkar adds.

Another addition in the press release sent by the doctor put light on several plants that can be used to treat the chronic disorder. They include bitter gourd, sprouted methi seeds. Other vegetables that can be used to treat diabetes are leafy vegetables, tomato, lady finger, garlic and pumpkin.

On the other hand the vegetables that Assoldekar presses on avoiding are carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes egg plant etc. Fruits to be used and avoided include pomegranate, papaya, orange and bananas, figs custard apples, respectively.

Other activities that help check excessive weight are swimming, cycling, a 30-minute exercise regime every day, brisk walking for 3 kms etc. A regular sleep of seven hours, the press release adds, is advisable.
