St Joseph Vaz feast on Jan 16
CORTALIM: The feast of St Joseph Vaz will be celebrated at the Sancoale Sanctuary on January 16.
Masses will be celebrated at 5 am, 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, 4 pm and 5.30 pm at the Sanctuary. A mass at noon will be celebrated at St Joseph Vaz paternal house in Sancoale.
The concelebrated mass will be at 10 am with Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao as the main celebrant, while Bishop of Sindhudurg Alwyn Barretto and Bishop of Agartala Lumen Monteiro will be the other concelebrants.
Meanwhile, traffic arrangements for the feast has been made. Traffic from Margao and Panjim has been allotted parking place on the Cortalim Church ground, while traffic from Vasco, Cansaulim has been allotted parking place at Sancoale church ground.
There will be mini-buses plying from both these places from 4 am till 7 pm. Sanctuary Rector Fr Eremito Rebelo has requested the devotees to follow the traffic arrangements and cooperate with the police and the Sanctuary volunteers.
