All Goa cycle race on Jan 1

PANAJI: Guirdolim Club will organise their 44th All Goa Cycle Race for men on Jan 1, 2016.The race will start at 8.30am from Guirdolim Club and will wind its way through Macasana, Curtorim, Maina, Chowgule College and will return back via Maina,

Curtorim, Agxem and back to Guirdolim Club. Cash Prizes will be awarded to the winners besides other prizes. Mementos will be given to all those completing the race. A special prize will be awarded to the first from Chandor-Guirdolim area. Cycle’s both with and without gears will be allowed.Participants are advised to wear head gears. State athletic championships

PANAJI: The Goa Athletic Association will conduct 48th State Athletic Championship 2015 for u-10,12,14,16,18,20 boys/girls, men and women on Jan 24 and 25, 2016 at Athletic track Bambolim. Only registered athletes with GAA are eligible to participate in the championship. Shikha to lead Goa in T20 cricket

PANAJI: Shikha Pandey will lead the Goa Senior Women's cricket team for the T-20 tournamenet to be held at Guntur from January 2 to 6, 2016.

RMS Salgaocar top Zone III cricket

MARGAO: Last year's state winners RMS Salgaocar HSS defeated Govt. Multipurpose HSS by 17 runs to emerge winners of the Zone III inter HSS cricket tournament

organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs at SAG Sports Complex,Fatorda on Tuesday. The highlight of RMS HSS was a brilliant 101 by Suyash Prabhudesai.Batting first, RMS scored 166 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs and then restricted Govt. Multipurpose HSS to 149 for 7 with Heramb Parab top scoring with 58 runs.
