Goa next big destination to get married

Goa Tourism’s campaign to promote Goa as the perfect Wedding Destination bagged Gold in the Public Sector category at the India PR & Corporate Communications Awards (IPRCCA) 2015.

This was organized by exchange4media, a reputed media forum at a function held recently in Gurgaon.

The campaign was conceptualized by Adfactors PR, who projected Goa as the perfect wedding destination through aggressive campaigns, nationally and internationally. This campaign was solely driven by PR with no money spent on advertisements.

The Gold award is a big shot in the arm for Goa Tourism as it bagged honurs in the public sector category beating other nominees which included Aditya Birla Group, GAIL India, SBI and IDBI bank.

Minister for Tourism, Dilip Parulekar expressed a deep sense of satisfaction that Goa Tourism’s PR campaigns to promote various facets of Goa is gaining national and international recognition.

“Goa is the perfect Wedding and Honeymoon Destination having all the facilities, resources, natural beauty for organizing weddings. From 720 high end and big weddings held between 2013-14, the figure is expected to cross 1,200 this season,” he said.
