Liquor laden truck falls on side at Quepem

A truck cleaner was inured, while the driver escaped with minor injuries after the inter-state truck fell on its side at a curve along the NH17 road at Padi-Quepem in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The truck (TN-23-AB-4867), loaded with IMFL stock, was proceeding to Tamil Nadu when the mishap occurred at the curve before reaching Padi-Barcem Panchayat. The cleaner sustained injuries to his legs, but the driver, who could not control the vehicle, escaped unhurt, informed sources at the site.
According to reports the driver of the truck lost control about a 100 meters away from where it finally tilted and fell on its side. Later in the afternoon, some workers were noticed shifting the liquor stocks into another vehicle, informed sources.
