Wagh says BJP govt is people-friendly

Stressing that children are the future of the nation Women and Child Development Minister, Dilip Parulekar said that government is making efforts to provide necessary infrastructure to build the future of the nation. Anganwadi is the base of education he said and appealed to all representatives of the people to provide land in their respective areas to construct model anganwadi centers.

Parulekar was speaking after inaugurating the anganwadi centre at Old Bambolim. The function was organized by the Directorate of Women and Child Development (DWCD).

Speaking further Parulekar said that the government has laid due emphasis to provide better infrastructure facilities in the education sector to provide quality education to every child in the State. He said the government has already constructed model anganwadi centres in various parts of the State.

Dy Speaker Vishnu Surya Wagh said, anganwadi centres are stepping stones in education, providing elementary knowledge in the initial stages of childhood.

Complementing the DWCD for providing model anganwadi centre in Old Bambolim village, Wagh appealed to the people to avail maximum benefit of it. This government is people friendly and therefore has implemented various schemes like Griha Adhar, Mamta and Ladli Laxmi to reduce the problems of weaker section in the society, he remarked.

Korgaonkar, Dy Sarpanch, Vikram Fatharpekar, Siddesh Naik and Ghanasham Vernekar all panchayat members and Vikas Gaunekar, director, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs were present.

Rupa M Dalvi, child development project officer welcomed while Gaurita Kankonkar proposed the vote of thanks.
