Goa Shipyard marks ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’

To  commemmorate the 75 Years of India’s Independence, Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) and other DPSUs are organizing various theme-based programmes in 3-months cycle, leading to August 15, 2022 i.e. 75th Independence Day. In a press release, GSL informed that in the ongoing first cycle, GSL is organising a week-long programme from April 30 to May 6, to be held in virtual mode. 

"On Friday, Cmde B B Nagpal, CMD, GSL virtually flagged off this week-long program focussing on our 75 year-long journey as a nation and to recommit ourselves to achieve the visionary goals set by our leadership. This series of webinars/digital exhibitions focuses on Skill Development initiatives, Apprentice training and Quality improvement in our Supply Chain. GSL has also included one specialized program for on- boarding maximum number of our Vendors on GeM portal, which will serve the purpose of enhanced indigenization through local vendors." 

"During the first session Chiranjiv Guha & Col Santosh Kumar, NSDC had given detailed information about various schemes / initiatives of NSDC & NSQF to Officials, Principals of ITIs and students. 

The Govt of India has launched Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav, the countdown to India’s 75th year of Independence with programmes to commemorate India’s achievement in last 75 years and the way ahead to become 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', said the press release.
