Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat on Monday launched a Mobile Health Clinic in his home constituency Margao, which will go to every ward for the next one month to check the health of the citizens. After launching the clinic, which will be manned by a dedicated doctor, the Margao MLA said the mobile clinic will not only conduct the blood test and check the pulse and pressure of the citizens, but will also distribute free medicines to the needy.
“This mobile health clinic will go to every ward. Our outgoing Councilors and workers will help the citizens to do the test. We have also appointed a dedicated doctor to man the clinic”, he added.
Saying that medicines will be given free to the needy, Kamat the patients will be referred to Hospicio for further investigations in diabetes cases. “This mobile health clinic will move around all the wards in Margao. For the next one month, the mobile clinic will be at the doorsteps of Madgavkars”, he said, while making an appeal to the people to avail the facility. The mobile health clinic operations will start from Tuesday from the fire station area at Aquem.
