Universal Alliance Group of Companies Margao has donated a total of four WiFi modems to Margao Municipal Council as part of CSR activity.
The WiFi modems were inaugurated in the civic body on Tuesday at the hands of Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes in the presence of Chairman and Managing Director of Universal Alliance Group of companies Faizan Khan and municipal engineer Diniz.
The facility has ensured that the entire municipality is now provided with a WiFi.
Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes who had initiated the project said, the facility will serve the public interest. “WiFi will ensure better-connected society and a more technological advanced city. The intention is to give everyone access to a range of information of the local body and in turn, help me to have a better rapport with the public,” the Chief Officer said.
