Newly elected Siridao-Palem Sarpanch Jagdish Gauns seen with local MLA Francisco Silveira, supporting panchas and well wishers after the election.

Jagdish Gauns was elected unopposed as sarpanch of Siridao-Palem at a special meeting in the panchayat on Monday.The election was necessitated as former sarpanch Camilo Marques was recently ousted in a no-confidence motion.
Apart from sarpanch Gauns, three other panchas, Vasudev Kunkolienkar, Nutan Shirodkar and Kush Palkar, who are supporting him, were present for the election.
Local MLA Francisco Silveira later visited the panchayat and congratulated Gauns on his election as sarpanch.
