The St Cruz BJP block felicitated the Chimbel PHC team along with the booth level officers (BLOs) for their dedicated work during the Covid pandemic. The felicitation function was organized at the Santa Cruz High School premises, on Sunday, on the sidelines of the ‘Tika Utsav’ which was also held on the occasion. State BJP president Sadanand Tanavade, St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes, Chimbel ZP member Girish Uskaikar, North Goa BJP vice president Anil Hoble, Santa Cruz sarpanch Ulhas Naik, St Cruz BJP block president Pramod Kamat, Hemant Golatkar, Tulsidas Madkaikar, Gauri Kamat, Shailesh Pai and others were present.
Among those who were felicitated included Chimbel PHC MO Dr Jude D’Souza, Dr Sharvari Naik, brother Dilip Satoskar, sisters Ana Fernandes and Rajrit Pires, BLOs Achit, Ushakant, Jose, Surendra, Luisa, Moses and others.Speaking on the occasion, Tanavade informed that the programme was organised on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi completing 7 years in office.“The frontline workers, particularly doctors and nurses, are taking huge risks during these pandemic times and therefore their efforts deserve to be recognized,” Tanavade stated and lauded the efforts of Chimbel PHC medical officer Dr Jude D’Souza and his team for their concerted efforts in tackling the Covid crisis.MLA Fernandes was all praise for Dr D’Souza and his team for working tirelessly to tackle Covid. Earlier, the St Cruz BJP block committee members along with State BJP president Tanavade and MLA Fernandes distributed masks to the people at Dovornem-Merces.
