Various artists from Bengal, Goa and Western Rajasthan have gathered at Sadhana Dell ’Arte at Merces to exhibit their artworks and also to present their folk-art performances and conduct workshops. The colourful programme has already begun from January 25 onwards and will continue till February 14 between 12 noon to 8 pm.
Dhokra artist Subhas Mandal from Dariyapur and Patachitra artist Jahuran Chitrakar from Pingla will be present from January 31 to February 14. During this period, daily there will also be Baul performances by Piyush, Chandan and Katick Khyapa from 4-7 pm. From January 29 to February 13, applique artist Harchand from Chhotan, Barmer will be here to present his art. From January 25 to February 7 Durrie artist Nima Ram from Salawas, Jodhpur and Jutti-Kasidakari artist Mahendra from Patodi, Barmer will be presenting their art and conduct workshops. During the same period, Goan artisans will showcase their art - Crochet products by Devika Kalangutkar and seashell products from Kiran Kalangutkar. And Alpana Kale from Goa will showcase handmade gift items till February 7 at the venue.
