The 46th Annual Lions Clubs International, District 317 B, District Convention ‘Unison’ comprising Goa and North Karnataka was held recently at Calangute. It was chaired by Lion Shrikant More, District Governor and hosted by Lions Club of Calangute Coastal with 700 delegates attending the two day convention. The Chief Guest of the inaugural function was Subhash Phaldesai, Minister for Social Welfare, River Navigation and Archives and Archaeology. The minister applauded and appreciated the yeomen services done by the Lions Members and Clubs towards the society. Elections and endorsements took place for the post of incoming District Governor and several other posts. Lion Suggala S Yelamali from Lions Club of Gadag City was elected as the District Governor for Lionistic year 2022-23.
