Crescendo Children’s Choir celebrates ‘Mercy Concert at Old Goa’ on May 4 at 6.30 pm at Bom Jesus Basilica, Old Goa. The concert commemorates the 400 years of the canonization of St Francis Xavier. The Mercy Concert highlights hymns and prayers in five different languages – Latin, Italian, English, Konkani and Hindi. The Chief Guest to grace the occasion is Fr Joaquim Loiola Savio Dsouza Pereira – Secretary to the Archbishop of Goa. It will also host the presence of Fr Patricio Fernandes, Rector – Bom Jesus Basilica and noted musicians Sonia Shirsat, and Fr Romeo Monteiro, Avinash Fernandes and Ingrid Nazareth. Music is a universal language that unites all of us together as one big family – inviting your presence to witness the heavenly voices of the Crescendo Children’s Choir. The Concert is free and open to the public. Maintaining COVID-19 protocols, wearing a face mask is necessary for all. Kindly be seated by 6 pm at the venue.
