'Mitrachi Kani' wins Konkani drama contest

The results of the Konkani Drama Competition organized by Kala Academy have been declared and accordingly “Mitrachi Kani” staged by Rudreshwar, Panaji has been awarded the first prize of Rs 1,00,000. “Aamori” staged by Shree Nagesh Mahalaxmi Prasadik Natyasamaj, Bandoda and “Andha Yug” by Rasarang, Ugvem have won second and third prizes of Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively. The consolation prizes of Rs 25,000 each were awarded to “Chaturanga” staged by Natarang Creations Narve-Bicholim & “Baill” by Savaiverecho Sakhyahari, Savoivere-Ponda. The first prize for best direction was awarded to Satish Narvekar for the drama “Mitrachi Kani”. 

The first prize for best acting in the male category was bagged by Ugam Jabavalikar for the role of 'Bapu' in the drama “Mitrachi Kani”. The first prize for best acting in the female category was awarded to Manuja Narvekar Lokur for the role of 'Mitra' in the drama “Mitrachi Kani”.  The first prize for Scriptwriting was bagged by Dipraj Satordekar for the play “Bail”.
