35 compalints of irregularities received via email: Vishwajit

Town and Country Planning Minister Vishwajit Rane on Thursday revealed that as many as 35 complaints were received via email on the very first day of launching it regarding illegalities related to land in in Goa. 

“The complaints received have been successfully forwarded to the respective departments (Town and Country Planning & Forest Department) by our office so that necessary action can be initiated”, Rane said. 

“The people of Goa have shown great confidence in us… I urge our people to continue reporting such illegalities in our State”, Rane said in posts he made on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Rane also said he was grateful that people have confidence in the system which has given a boost to take prompt action.

Earlier this week, Rane had mentioned of complaints of people being forced to sell their lands with threats that their properties would be converted to orchards, open spaces and other zones which will devalue it.

He had also launched a dedicated email account asking the citizenry to report any such illegalities.
