The Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday slammed the State government for selectively fixing roads for Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

In a press release, AAP questioned why CM Pramod Sawant is afraid of showing Shah the reality of roads that Goans have to bear each day, adding that "if the BJP can fix roads for one visit then surely they can fix roads for Goenkars who suffer daily."

Goans have been suffering due to bad roads across the state. During the recent Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, Goans had to deal with potholes. Many villages reported that despite the festival potholes were not being fixed, AAP added in the release.

AAP has exposed the reality of how potholes are affecting Goans. Many AAP teams have highlighted this issue all over Goa. In one case while highlighting a road in Mapusa, AAP Goa convenor Rahul Mhambre had to help a lady who fell into a pothole with her child.

Goenkars have taken out many protests on potholes but BJP has not been paying attention to them. The fact that they showed such alacrity in fixing potholes for Amit Shah means they have the means but not the will to fix roads for Goenkars, states the release.

"Pramod Sawant must explain to Goenkars why he can't fix roads for them but can for the Union Home Minister. He is just afraid of showing the Home Minister how Goan roads are," said Rahul Mhambre, AAP Goa convenor.
