MARGAO: Panic spread among residents of Balli village on Sunday after a crocodile strayed into a densely populated residential area. Before Forest Department officials arrived at the spot, locals managed to catch and tie the crocodile. It was later handed over to the Forest officials. Residents were surprised by the incident and wondered how the crocodile reached the locality, as the nearest water body is located more than half a kilometre away.
