Taking serious note of the transportation of school children, the South Goa district road safety committee on Wednesday has decided to ask all the schools to set up committees to ensure the safety of school students.
The meeting chaired by South Goa district Additional Collector, Paresh Faldesai has told the Assistant Director of Education Inspectors (ADEIs) to ensure that the committees are put in place at all the schools on a priority basis.
Faldesai said though no deadline has been set for the ADEIs to ensure the school committees are put in place, the district committee expects the education authorities to comply with the instructions.
