Cong launches ‘block meetings’ to take stock of functioning

Ahead of the 2022 Assembly election, the Congress party has launched mission “block meetings” as party leaders will visit every block to take stock of the situation and review of the functioning of the blocks.

Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) chief Girish Chodankar, Leader of the Opposition Digambar Kamat and party vice-president, M K Sheikh will visit the blocks in each and every constituency as part of the Assembly election preparations.

The first such meeting was held of the Margao block on Wednesday, which was attended by Kamat and M K Sheikh. GPCC chief Girish Chodankar was conspicuous by his absence. The three party leaders will take stock of the situation at the block and review the preparations from the block to the booth level.

These meetings will continue till December 20 and the party will resume the exercise in the New Year after the Christmas break.
