Former Goa Government Employees Association President, John Nazareth on Saturday formally joined Goa Forward Party.
The Goa Forward chief Vijai Sardesai informed that the party has formulated the Employees Forward Cell to take up the issues of employees from government and private-sector and Nazareth will lead this cell.
Sardesai said that there is a need for reservation of jobs for Goans in the private sector and the party will fight for it.
“Haryana BJP government has given 80 per cent employment for locals in the private sector then why Goa government is not bringing in such legislation,” said Sardesai.
Sardesai also said that the new employees’ cell will take up the issue of regularisation of around 5,000 government servants who are still working on contract bases.
John Nazareth said that local party Goa Forward is a vibrant Goan leadership that strives to work for Goan’s interest. So for taking up employees issues Goa Forward party is the best option.
He said that after the government withdrew the housing building advance scheme when Goa Forward raised a voice against it.
“To solve the issue of employees, I have decided to join Goa Forward. The party has Goan leadership which can do something for Goa. I will try my level best to solve problems of working-class along with my leaders,” said Nazareth.
Meanwhile, Vijai Sardesai criticised AAP saying that party is using professional PR agency to come in the scene only for election.
