Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas has challenged Varca Sarpanch Flavia Barretto to come with all documents on Monday to prove that the JCB was deployed at Fatrade after following the due process of law.
Addressing the media in the presence of AAP Varca co-Coordinator, Francis, the Benaulim MLA has warned that failure by the Sarpanch to show the relevant documents, including the tender floated to execute the work and the work order, would force the residents to lodge individual complaints against the Sarpanch and Panchayat members present at Fatrade on Saturday.
Venzy also charged that the Alemao goondagiri supported by the BJP is back in Benaulim constituency. He said goondas are raising their ugly head in Benaulim when the government has invoked the National Security Act. “I had told the authorities to attach the JCB when the machine was about to cross the Benaulim jurisdiction. The officials promised to deploy police personnel to guard the machine at the site. But, I have been told that the machine was allowed to go after the officials received phone calls from BJP leaders”,Venzy claimed.
