The results of the 47th Tiatr Competition ‘A’ Group organized by Kala Academy from March 17 to March 28 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao have been declared and accordingly Tiatr “Tujeach Moga Khatir” staged by Sao Bartolomeu Sports Club and Cultural Association, Chorao has been selected for first prize of Rs.1,00,000/-. Tiatr “Ek goddi” staged by Goa Velha Art and Cultural Association and Tiatr “Dis to kednam udetolo?” staged by St Domnic Dramatic Troupe, Merces have won second prize of Rs.75,000/- and third Prize of Rs.50,000/-respectively. The Consolation prize of Rs. 25,000/- has been awarded to Tiatr “Tallo-Avaz-echo” staged by Machi Mogi, Santa Cruz, Goa.
The first prize for best acting in male category was bagged by Rosario Botelho for the role of Dr Swami in the Tiatr “Tallo-Avaz-Echo” whereas the second prize was awarded to Rupesh Jogle for the role of Walter in the Tiatr “Chint”. The merit certificates of acting (male) have been awarded to Justiniano Fernandes – Dr Michael (Hanvuch To), Cyril Fernandes - Manuel (Kochro), Agnelo Furtado – Robin (Ek Goddi), Nitin Naique – Jangli – Tallo-Avaz-Echo, Shivanand Naik - Shirish (Mhaka Nokri Zai), Anil Pednekar - Jangu (Tallo-Avaz-Echo) and Santan Luis D’Mello – Santan (Dis To Kednam Udetolo?).
The first prize for best acting in female category was awarded to Sendrisha Fernandes for the role of Zubby in the Tiatr “Tallo-Avaz-Echo” whereas the second prize in acting was bagged by Valini Fernandes for the role of Valini in the Tiatr “Kochro”. The merit certificates of acting (Female) have been bagged by Christina C. Correia – Liza (Ek Goddi), Ninotchka Fernandes – Sanya (Dev Zanna by Menino Jesus Kala Association, Chinchinim), Princia D’Souza – Sonia (Dev Zanna by Taleigao Dramatic Troupe, Taleigao), Marta De Souza – Camlin (Dis To Kednam Udetolo?) and Irene Cardozo – Vishranti (Mhaka Nokri Zai).
The prize in Best Negative Role has been awarded to Matias Mascarenhas for the role of Alfred in Tiatr “Dangerous” and the second prize was bagged by Shenaya Pereira for the role of Jacinta in the Tiatr “Dis To Kednam Udetolo?”. The merit certificates for negative role has been bagged by Pedro Rodrigues – Montri (Kochro).
The Best Comedian- ‘Male’ prize was bagged by Natolinho Lourenco Vales for the role of Romeo in Tiatr “Hanvuch To”.
The Best Comedian- ‘Female’ prize declared to Florence Cassie Pereira for the role of Lily in Tiatr “Tujeach Moga Khatir”.
The Best Child Artist Prize in male category was bagged by Mayefern Mascarenhas for the role of Chotu in the Tiatr “Kochro”. The merit certificate has been awarded to Daniel Gomes – Daniel (Dev Zanna by Menino Jesus Kala Association, Chinchinim).
The Best Child Artist Prize in female category was awarded to Melita Y. Fernandes for the role of Valini Jr. in the Tiatr “Kochro” The merit certificate has been awarded to Leandra Rodrigues – Aslita (Ek Goddi) and Rioma Fernandes – Rhea (Dis To Kednam Udetolo?).
The first prize for best direction was awarded to Fr Milagres Dias for Tiatr “Tujeach Moga Khatir”. The second and third prize has been bagged by Agnelo Furtado for Tiatr “Ek Goddi” and Nilesh Mahale for Tiatr “Dis To Kednam Udetolo?” respectively.
The best stage set up award was bagged by Benny Carvalho for Tiatr “Tujeach Moga Khatir”. The merit certificates for stage set up was awarded to Cruz Sequeira for Tiatr “Dis To Kednam Udetolo?” and Kapil Chari for Tiatr “Kochro”.
The best light effect award was secured by Vikas Chopdekar for Tiatr “Dev Zanna” by Taleigao Dramatic Troupe, Taleigao and the merit certificates were given to Gorakshanath Rane for Tiatr “Tujeach Moga Khatir” and Ryan Dias for Tiatr “Chint”.
The first and the second prize for best singer male (solo) award was awarded to Evaristo Rodrigues (Mr. Bean) for Tiatr “Dev Zanna” by Menino Jesus Kala Association and Camilo Rodrigues (Devache Muniari) for Tiatr “Dis To Kednam Udetolo?” respectively.
The first and the second prize for best singer female (solo) was bagged by Elaine Pinto (Jib) for Tiatr “Dev Zanna” by Menino Jesus Kala Association and Denzilia Menezes (Italian Bhurgo) for Tiatr “Dangerous”.
The best prize for child singer male (solo) has been awarded to Jonas Fernandes (Mogan Poddlam) for Tiatr “Kochro”.
The best prize for child singer female (solo) declared to Naira Livia Fernandes (Poppy Mhozo) for Tiatr “Tujeach Moga Khatir”.
The best lyrics award was bagged by Nazario Pinto for lyrics of Cantar “Xantin Jiyeum-ia” in the Tiatr “Chint”. The merit certificate was awarded to Efifanio Mendes (Gerram) for Tiatr “Ek Goddi”, Pio Agnelo Fernandes (Doial Postman) for Tiatr “Chint” and William Fernandes (Xantiche Dhut Zaiat) for Tiatr “Hanvuch To”.
The first prize for the best script has been declared to Menino Mario Araujo for Tiatr “Tallo...Avaz...Echo” staged by Machi Mog, Santa Cruz. The second prize for script declared to Efifanio Mendes for Tiatr “Ek Goddi” staged by Goa Velha Art and Cultural Association, Goa Velha. The merit certificate was awarded to Joaquim Dias for Tiatr “Dis To Kednam Udetolo?”.
Total 12 institutions participated in the competition. The judges who judged the performances in competition were Cezar D’Mello, Kiran Naik & Sebastiao Willy Silveira. The lyrics and script were judged by Guadalupe Almeida e Dias.
