Hazard a guess on the number of stray cattle South Goa MP Francisbab Sardinha had got the men-in-uniform to impound during his brief stint as the state’s Chief Minister around two decades ago. Well, statistics may not be readily available either with the police or with the Chief Minister’s office, but Sardinhbab clearly remembered that the men-in-uniform had impounded around 450 cattle when he presided over the state as the Chief Minister. It could not be gathered whether Sardinhbab was taking pride in impounding stray cattle during his tenure or was he making a suggestion or two to the ruling dispensation on how to go about tackling the stray cattle menace.
