The weekend was full of speculations that Superintendent of Police, Sammybab Tavares, will finally quit office ahead of the 2022 Assembly elections. The top cop received an early morning call from a leader of a political outfit just to find out his preference of the political party in the event he quits Goa police to embrace politics. For the moment, Sammybab has asserted he hasn’t yet quit Goa police. And, neither has he ruled contesting the 2022 Assembly election from home constituency Cuncolim. Wait and watch as he is due to retire around October 2022.
