A para table tennis has been organised by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Goa as a part of its programme on election awareness on ethical voting among the person with disabilities (PwDs).
The competition – a non-classification, non-ranking tournament in standing and wheelchair category – will be held at Multipurpose Indoor Stadium SAG Campal, Goa on January 14, from 9 am to 5.30 pm. The event aims to encourage the PwD voters to participate in the electoral process in the forthcoming General Assembly Election for Goa 2022.
The prizes: winner - gold medal and a cash prize of Rs 5,000, runner-up - silver medal plus Rs 3,000, third-placed athlete - bronze and Rs 2,000. The participants will be awarded with a certificate.
