Himachal Pradesh held Goa goalless in the Hero Junior Women’s National Football Championship 2022-23 at Indira Gandhi Athletic Practice Ground, Guhawati, Assam on Tuesday.
Goa dominated the game and pushed their opponents on the back foot throughout the match. Goa must blame themselves for splitting the points. Vinoshka Carvalho was unlucky as her shot hit the cross bar and later Fatima Carvalho’s rasping shot was well-blocked by rival goalkeeper Kavita.
At the other end, Himachal Pradesh were struggling to catch up with the briskly pace of rival attackers.
Crossing over Goa continued in same vein but their forwards misfired from close range. Vinoshka Carvalho and Fatima were unlucky as the duo hit the cross bar.
Fatima Braganza of Goa was adjudged best player. Goa now meet Sikkim in the next match on June 23.
