Navelim Villagers Union defeated Chandor SC 6-5 via the tiebreaker to enter the semifinals of the Bro Eulalio Vas inter-village football tournament played at Don Bosco ground, Fatorda.
Ronaldo Pereira gave the lead to Navelim Villagers Union which was later cancelled by Sildon Piexoto for Chandor. In the tiebreaker, Clinton Niasso, Ronaldo Pereira, Navin Pereira, Terence Moniz and Suraj Naik scored for Navelim Villagers Union while Victorino Fernandes, Joaquim, Mark Fernandes and Sevaraj netted for Chandor SC.
GFA officials included in AIFF committees
Caitano Fernandes, president of Goa Football Association, has been appointed to AIFF I-League Committee. Further, Jonathan De Souza, GFA vice-president (North) has been included in the AIFF Marketing Committee, while Antonio Pango, senior vice-president (South) and chairman of the competitions committee has been made a member of the AIFF Development Committee.
2-a-side tiebreaker on Nov 26
Mango Tree Boys will organise their 2nd All Goa 2-a-side tiebreaker football contest in memory of late Prajot Poju on November 26 at Dandora Cuncolim Assolna road at 7.30 pm onwards. Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 will be awarded to the winners and runners-up respectively. In 1-a-side contest, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 will be awarded to the winners and runners-up respectively.
