Quepem Veterans prevailed over Viva North Veterans 7-6 in the tiebreaker to move into the quarterfinals of 1st Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club Veterans Cup 2022 organised by Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club, Baida-Chinchinim at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim.
Quepem scored first in the 15th minute through Ivan Coutinho. In the second half, Sanjay Ghadi equlised for Viva North Veterans, scoring in the 40th minute. Sanjay made it 2-1 for Viva North two minutes later. Raymond D'Souza levelled the scores to 2-2 with a spot kick in the 50th minute.
In the tiebreaker, Babazinho Dias, Jose Rebello, Raymond D'Souza, Anil Fernandes and Narayan Mistry scored for Quepem Veterans. Sanjay Ghadi, Pratap Sawant, Ajit Aroska netted for Viva North Veterans. The Man of the Match prize was awarded to Sanjay Ghadi of Viva North Veterans.
