Ahead of the Goan women's football team's departure for Kerala, their team manager Arnaldo D'Costa on Thursday said that the girls had worked really hard for "this moment" and it was time to convert "the sacrifices into desirable results" at the Women's Football Championship.

The Goan team is slated to leave for Kerala on Thursday. "The team is absolutely excited. They have all worked really hard for this moment and it is time to convert the sacrifices made over the last couple of weeks into desirable results in Kerala. Our aim will be to perform best football match-by-match. The team is mentally prepared to face the challenges on and off the field in Kerala," said D'Costa.

Goa have been drawn in Group D alongside Jharkhand and Delhi. “Our women players have worked hard in the coaching camp and the opportunity to play in the national championship will certainly motivate them to improve in their game. We are confident that the team will do well.”
