Hyderabad FC sign FC Goa striker Aaren

MARGAO
yderabad FC have signed FC Goa striker Aaren D'Silva on a three-year deal. The lanky striker was an integral part of the FC Goa developmental team and was promoted to the senior team ahead of the 2020-21 season but could not find a spot in Juan Ferrando's final squad.

Aaren enrolled in Sesa Football Academy and was there for nine years. His rough edges were polished by then-coach Ajay Acharya and technical director Brahmanand Shankvalkar at Sesa. He was first noticed by woman footballer Ritinha Pereira who guided his first steps in the sport.

The 23-year-old hails from Raia and is from a sporting family. His mother was a State volleyball player and his father a State athlete. Aaren has been playing football since his early childhood. He played for the FC Goa reserves for four years under technical director Derrick Pereira, and then coach Clifford Miranda. The duo has been instrumental in shaping his career.

Earlier, Aaren was also on the rosters of Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim. Despite being limited to a bit-part role in the 2020-21 season, Aaren managed to impress the Hyderabad FC scouts. He has also represented the State in National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy. He is a dependable force whenever called upon, happy to showcase the full range of his versatility and slot in where the team requires him.
