Guardian Angel SC got the better of Curtorim Gymkhana 6-5 via tie-breaker to win All Goa Guardian Angel festival soccer inter-village tournament, organised by Friends Circle Curchorem in association with St Anthony's Sports Club Assolda, at Figureido ground.
Curchorem Both the teams were tied goalless draw, in the normal time.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Norman Dias, Keegan Fernandes, Clifford Diniz, Airen Fernandes, Godwin D’Costa and Alvito Dcunha netted for Guardian Angel SC while Aliston Fernandes, Marcus Fernandes, Savio Peixoto, Fredy Hilario were on target for Curtorim Gymkhana. The winners and runners-up were richer by Rs 60,000 and Rs 40,000 plus trophies respectively.
Rohan Gauns Dessai – Secretary of Goa Cricket Association was the chief guest & gave away the prizes in the presence of Balkrishna Hodarkar alias, Pinte Curchorem Municipal Councilor, Celina Fernandes, Custodio Fernandes, Anthony Pango, vice president of GFA, South Goa, Fr Vital Miranda, Fr Thomas Gonsalves, Fr Joaquim Rebello, Tony Coutinho Councillor-CCMC.
