Hosts Guardian Angel SC, Curchorem, cruised into the quarterfinals of the Late Fr. Gervacio Pinto Memorial Cup 2025 with a convincing win over Betalbatim SC at the Figuereido ground, Pontemoll, Curchorem, on Wednesday.
Guardian Angel dominated proceedings from the start. Richard Costa starred with a brilliant hat-trick, scoring in the 8th, 22nd, and 50th minutes, while Alton Vaz also got on the scoresheet to further seal the victory.
Betalbatim SC had a chance to reduce the deficit, but Dickson missed a golden opportunity in the 56th minute.
For his outstanding performance, Richard Costa of Guardian Angel SC was named Man of the Match. The award was presented by Anthony Fernandes.
