Nearly a 100 pairs, including most of the best at the national level and some international players, will compete at the Goa Bridge Festival, starting 18 July 2025. “
Over the years, this tournament has become an important part of the Bridge Federation of India calendar”, said Prasad Keni, the President of the Bridge Association of India.
“To encourage more participation from women Bridge Players, this year, we have dedicated a section and trophy for mixed pairs”, he added.
The rest of the field will compete in the open section, leading up to trophies in the Open Gold and Open Silver categories.
“The Festival is organized, annually, with the purpose of encouraging Goan players to excel at this card game that needs analytical and memory skills”, said Vikram Vepa, President of the Goa Bridge Association.
He went on the say that “The timing in July of each year is also intended to contribute to monsoon tourism in the state. In addition, this year, we are seeking participation from young Bridge players who can be the stars of tomorrow, for the state and the country.”
The tournament is being played at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias from July 18 to 20.
