MARGAO
Agxem SC made short work of Damdolem SC 3-1 to clinch the winners' trophy of 4th Cumborda Sports Club football tournament at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim on Sunday.
Agxem took lead in the 15th minute through Elroy before they doubled their lead through Joval, who scored with a free kick from the left flank in the 25th minute.
Crossing over, Ryan reduced the margin for Damdolem in the 40th minute but Esteven scored the third goal for Agxem which crowned them the champions. Prizes were given at the hands of chief guest Alexio Reginaldo Laurenco, Chairperson of GIDC, guest of honour Fr Joseph Salema, Parish Priest of St Alex Church, Curtorim, Savio Fernandes, President of Curtorim Gymkhana, Caetano Hilario, Panch of Curtorim Panchayat, Mouvin Noronha, Prop, N Events, Mathias Hilario, Panch of Curtorim Panchayat.
