MARGAO: Canacona Cultural and Sports Club thrashed Dicaprio Sports Club 4-1 in the Navelim Villagers Cup, organized by the Navelim Villagers Union at Rosary Ground, Navelim.
Melvin and Austin starred for Canacona, each scoring a brace, while Agnelo Colaco netted the lone goal for Dicarpale. At halftime, Canacona led 2-1.
Sanjay Bandodkar, Treasurer of the Navelim Villagers Union, presented the Man of the Match award to Melvin for his outstanding performance.
