Dando Boys of Benaulim stormed into the semi-finals of the Varca Panchayat Cup with a commanding 4–1 victory over hosts Varca Sports Club at the Varca Ground on Monday.
Maxwel Rodrigues opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a superb header that left goalkeeper Annison Pereira helpless. Three minutes later, Arif Pathan doubled the advantage, and in the 15th minute, Keagan Fernandes made it 3–0 with a neat placement past the keeper.
Varca SC came out more aggressively after the restart and managed to pull one back through Andrus Da Costa in the 36th minute. However, Dando Boys sealed the win when Jozwan Cardozo fired home a powerful strike in the 42nd minute, giving Pereira no chance.
Maxwel Rodrigues of Dando Boys was named Man of the Match.
