Erica De Sequeira brought laurels to Academy of Combat Sports Goa by clinching the gold medal and emerging champion in the K1 Fight -50kg category at the prestigious WAKO Goa State Championship 2026 held at the Ravi Naik Sports Complex.
The championship was organised by the WAKO Kickboxing Association Goa and witnessed top kickboxing talent from across the state competing at a high level.
Erica’s impressive performance throughout the tournament highlighted her discipline, determination, and fighting spirit, making her achievement a proud moment for both her academy and Goa’s growing kickboxing community.
Apart from her success at the state championship, Erica was also felicitated by the WAKO Kickboxing Association Goa for her outstanding achievement at the Khelo India National Championship, where she secured a gold medal and delivered one of the standout performances of the competition.
Erica trains under the guidance of coach Ronnyy, whose dedication, professional training, and constant support have played a crucial role in her development as a competitive athlete.
Speaking on the occasion, Erica thanked her coach, academy, parents, supporters, and well-wishers for their unwavering encouragement and belief in her journey. She said the achievements have motivated her to work harder and aim for greater success at both national and international levels.
