Raia Sporting Club thumped Goa Velha Sports Club 4-1 to move into the finals of the 22nd Vagator Soccer 2022 organised by Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club, at Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club Ground, Ozran on Saturday. Raia Sporting took the lead in the 13th minute when Eldon Colaco scored from a cross by Velito Cruz. Two minutes later Goa Velha equalised when Raia's keeper failed to capture the ball with Vikrant Mangveshkar capitalising on the error. Raia took the lead for the second time when Velito Cruz assisted with a through ball to goalscorer Eldon Coloaco who completed his brace. In the 26th minute, Velito Cruz chipped a ball over the Goa Velha defence to find Lloyd Cardozo who scored with a well-placed shot. Without wasting much time Raia made it 4-1 when Lloyd Cardozo completed his brace with another assist from Velito Cruz. On crossing ends, Raia were still hungry for some more, in the 51st minute, a cross from the left flank by Joyston Barbosa found Allen Fernandes whose shot hit the woodwork. The Goa Velha keeper Vinesh Shirodkar had to make many saves which helped them narrow down the scoreline. The man of the match was awarded to Eldon Colaco of Raia Sporting Club by Jolan Albuquerque.
