Team Friends beat Team Blink to win the All Goa 4-a-side women's football tournament organised by Warriors FC at Voddy Garden, Sao Jose de Areal.
The football festival featured 18 teams. Veliane Fernandes of Team Friends bagged the Player of the Tournament award, while Astrid Pereira of Team Blink and Somaya Mukundan of Trojans were adjudged as the best goalkeeper and promising player of the final, respectively. Team Phoneix won the fair play award.
Anita Fernandes, the owner of Voddy Garden, Sao Jose de Areal, was the chief guests and gave away the prizes. Grace D'Costa, former international footballer, was the guest of honour. Micodom Rebello, GFDC coach, and Socorro Vaz, former coach of Fr Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Verna, were also present.
