HONEST MOVIE REVIEW: RAKHNO

Story

This is a film by Narayan Zantye College of Commerce. A young girl is stopped on the road for an attempt to rape. The girl is saved by an unknown force. The film is about finding out who is this force.

Screenplay

The film is to the point. The scenes unfolding are corollaries to the previous ones. However, no serious thought is put into the development of sequences. The film starts well but the momentum could not be maintained.

Acting

The cast is amateurs probably students of the college who manage to put in an average performance. The female in the lead shows a promise for the future.

Music

There are no songs in the film. The background music and score are effective. A theme track or songs in the film could make the film more effective.

Cinematography

The film is well captured. However, the shot selection is poor. The film is shot as written without any thought of varying and capturing the emotions for close-ups. The locales are justified. The film is nicely edited.

Direction

The film falls flat on this count. There are no directorial inputs visible in the entire film. The suspense created is well maintained but the climax is too impoverished.
