K’taka teen drowns in pool at Colva

Tragedy struck a family from Tumkur-Karnataka when a 17-year old girl Zaiba Syed drowned in a swimming pool at a Colva hotel early Friday morning.

Two other females, who were rescued in a critical condition, were later shifted to the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim. 
The 10-member family from Tumkur had come to Goa on Thursday and had soon checked in a hotel at Colva. Members of the family had headed to the Colva beach yesterday.   
The tragic incident occurred around 8.15 am on Friday when three female members of the group, believed to be sisters, descended in the swimming pool while their mother kept a watch over them. 
As the trio showed signs of struggling in the swimming pool, the mother raised an alarm and rushed to the rooms to wake up her brother Syed Sultan.   
As panic rent the air, Sultan came rushing from the room and jumped into the pool in a bid to rescue his three nieces. “They were all swimming in the danger zone, and I too was about to drown when we were
