India-based American film producer/entrepreneurs have been selected by IFFI to showcase innovations at the Tech Media Start-up Exhibition held in Panaji.
Afghan-American creative producer/entrepreneur Mithag Kazimi is among 14 personalities selected to showcase innovative projects that merge technology and media at the 2017 Tech Media Startup Exhibition.
Organized by the International Film Festival of India in conjunction with National Institution for Transforming India, the expo is expected to be attended by the 5000 registered festival delegates, the Trade Commissioner, Consulate General of Canada and a line-up of investors.
Mithaq Kazimi, alongside other budding entrepreneurs, has been selected after a competitive process between startups with innovative solutions in AR, VR, Gaming, AI, Robotics, and IoT space. Kazimi came to India in 2015 to co-launch World Is One News (WION) for Zee Network, heading distribution and engagement as managing producer. He also created a number of web properties for social media and interactive news reporting using live streaming.
Currently, Kazimi is the Editor-in-Chief of Josh Talks, an online platform that shares inspiring stories with some 20m audience and slated as ‘India Top 50 Startups' by Economic Times.
