The festival of the birth of lord Rama (Ram Janmotsava) and Ram Navami was celebrated with rituals at Jeevottam Math in Partagali, where Swami Maharaj spoke on the various aspects of Prabhu Ram’s personality, his love for parents, loyalty for wife Sita, brotherly affection for Bharat and Laxman and the respectful behaviour even towards the enemy Ravana. The rathotsava programme was held at 5 pm in the presence of Math committee president Shrinivas Dempo, vice-president Shivanand Salgaocar, former chief minister Digambar Kamat, MLA Vijay Sardesai and others. On this occasion, the award Shri Purushottam Puraskar that was announced on March 23, was handed over to the family of late Vedmurti Varadraj Bhat. Swami Maharaj announced that this year’s Chaturmas ceremony would be celebrated at Panvel.
