PANAJITwo persons have been booked for stealing jewellery from a jewellery store valued at Rs 4.53 lakh approx. According to a complaint filed by Pradeep Bhat of Abharan Jewelry Shop, two unknown persons stole away gold chains worth around Rs 2.37 lakh and one Mangalsutra costing Rs 2.16 lakh approx. The total value of the stolen valuables is estimated at around Rs 4.53 lakh. It is learnt that the accused posed as customers and decamped with the gold ornaments. The Panaji police have sought CCTV camera recordings from the shop owner to identify the accused who are booked under sections 380 (theft) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
