A Christmas Fiesta Party was hosted for residents of Nova Cidade Enclave and PDA colony at the Nova Cidade Enclave Jogger’s Park cum Children’s Park, Alto-Pilerne on December 19.
The Christmas Fiesta Party featured a carol singing contest, spot prizes, housie, games, a special appearance by Santa Claus, stalls and music.
This event was organised by Together4Pilerne in collaboration with former panch Karan Govenkar, Panch Members Ankita Naik (Ward 6), Ashwini Chodankar (Ward 7), with the active participation of Pilerne Panchayat.
Saligao MLA Kedar Naik graced the occasion and, in his address, praised Ashwini Chodankar, Ankita Naik and former panch Karan Govenkar for hosting the Christmas Fiesta Party, which would foster unity among residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Karan Govenkar said parties on the occasion of Christmas and Diwali would be annual events for residents of the two wards.
Lino D’Silva coordinated the event, Shiv provided the sound system, the catering was done by Royal Restaurant near O’Coqueiro Circle and decoration was set up by Remy Rodrigues and Amit Naik. Craig D'Gama compered the event. A stall on homemade food items was put up by Maria Pereira and Group, while there was a stall for handmade candles by Elvira Pereira.
