MARGAO: Davorlim got the better of Sao Jose de Areal 6-5 via the tie-breaker to book a place in the semi-finals of the Gold Silver trophy inter-village football tournament, at Rosary church ground, Navelim, on Tuesday.
Tyson of Areal missed a chance to score in the second minute.
It was Reeve who netted the first goal of the match in the fourth minute for Davorlim. Stelen equalised for Areal in the 29 minute.
Both teams tried their best to find the match winner but lacked sharpness. In the tie-breaker, SC Davorlim netted through Reeve,William, Ajay, Prince and Adarsh while Alister, Tyson, Stelen and Myron found the net for Sao Jose de Areal.
Francis Colaco of SC Davorlim was presented the man-of-the-match award by George Baretto.
